Annual General Meeting – National Council of India
Verapoly Central Council has been blessed with the rare honour of hosting the Annual General Meeting 2024–25 of the National Council of India, the apex body of the Society of St. Vincent de Paul in the country. This prestigious gathering, which unites the Presidents and governing body members of all Diocesan Councils from across India, will take place from September 11th to 14th, 2025, at Aashir Bhavan, Kacheripady, Ernakulam, the Archdiocesan Pastoral Centre. It is after 35 long years that the Verapoly Central Council has been entrusted with this privilege, making the event a truly special and historic occasion for us.
The National Council of India, headquartered in Bombay, manages and coordinates all activities of the Society of St. Vincent de Paul across the nation. The AGM will be formally inaugurated by His Excellency Most Rev. Dr. Joseph Kalathiparambil, the Metropolitan Archbishop of Verapoly. The current President, Brother Jude Mangal Raj, a native of Chennai, will preside over the sessions.
